Hi! I've been learning C++ for almost 1.5 years, and in that time I've come to discover how much I miss elements of the various engines I work within, alongside the speed and flexibility of C++. So, a few months ago I undertook it myself to create a node-tree-based game engine. Things are still very early days, but we finally reached a very solid milestone! That milestone being that I actually got the tree system working! Without going into too much detail (haha, maybe an article some day?) all nodes have to be dynamically allocated and destroyed, which is a bit more of an undertaking than you might think. Luckily, it managed to pass a few tests of mine as well as "Applicaiton Verifier" from the Windows SDK lmao. Admittedly neither of those would make me particularly confident, but both of them together is definitely encouraging, and I really have not seen anything to suggest we're having memory leaks. Of course, never say never. Either way, if you feel like checking it out, the repo is now publicly available on GitHub! I don't really have a license set up for it yet, as I'm currently just using it personally, but in the future I would like to look into openining it up if there is interest. Also, if you're somebody who knows what they're doing, I strongly urge you to check it out, for my sake lol. Feel free to email me if you see anything alarming.
That's all for now, thanks for reading!

Hey there y'all! translink is a free personal website advertisement webring(?) based around the idea of helping bring more trans people on nekoweb/neocities together! Given the current state of things I thought it would be nice to have a better sense of community.
You can read more info over here at the landing page. You're free to use the widget even if you have no ads featured. Go nuts.
I also do plan on writing an article about the JavaScript needed to run this (it's surprisingly simple, and I'm starting to get pretty comfortable (albeit still pretty idignant) with it!), so look forward to that in the near-ish future.
That's all for now!

I am very excited to announce that we now have an RSS feed!
Some of you may be wondering what exactly that means, so let me explain: It's essentially a document stored on this webserver that I update whenever I post a new blog post and then whatever program you use to subscribe to it pings you!
It looks quite a bit like HTML, in case you're curious. Honestly really not that complicated to use, thankfully. I'm also working on getting a status.cafe and also a piclog but the database seems to either be incredibly slow or manually updated. Either way, awesome services!
You may also be thinking, "But I don't know how to follow an RSS feed easily!" Well no worries, as Nekoweb has this feature built-in! Simply follow me and check your feed to see updates. That's all for now, thanks for reading!

This thing on? Good. Hi there! We have officially made the leap from Neocities to Nekoweb!
I did this for a few reasons; 1. Neocities is not really actively updated anymore. Which is fair, it's a bit of an old site nowadays. 2. Nekoweb lets me do multiple domains on one account. I plan on using this to launch a few more sites hopefully :) very exciting! 3. Nekoweb *is* actively being developed. Plus the text editor having automatic formatting is nice, I won't lie.
Anyway, hi all! Feel free to contact me on the Discord or my E-Mail.
p.s. one of the sites i'm thinking of is a classic web-style gamedev collective. admittedly, that sounds a bit ambitious right now (which is why it is still only a concept) but i think it might be fun to make flash-style games on a site that looks straight out of 2010.

Welcome to the new year! Things aren't looking great on a lot of social medias, so I've made the decision to start setting up fort on neocities. So, I've invested in a domain name. Welcome to https://robinsaviary.com!
I have plans to (hopefully) in the future start uploading some art here (hoping that won't wreck my bandwidth), as well as some more game thingys :)
raylib has made it especially easy to export games for web, and by the POWER OF IFRAMES I can easily embed them into a page without having to have too much pain with JavaScript. I may someday update things to slightly more modern/pretty standards, but for now I kinda like how it looks. Retro :3
p.s. what do y'all think of the linking style of this post? i kinda like having additional information just attached there for those curious :)

Heyo! This is the first time I've had a proper site with custom stuff on it. I'm very excited about how it's coming along :). Check out the new "Sand" game here.
Thanks for visting!
